HIRINGIntern Full-Stack Developer

Build real products before you graduate.

Effy Tech is opening a paid engineering internship for ambitious students who already know how to code and want hands-on experience building, reviewing, debugging and shipping real software.

Paid InternshipBDT 10,000 / MonthStudent OpportunityReal Production Work

THE REAL ROLE

This is not a classroom internship.

You will not spend the internship only watching tutorials or building disposable demo projects. You will work with real product requirements, real codebases, reviews, bugs and deployment workflows.

Production Interfaces

Implement responsive interfaces from requirements and designs.

APIs & Business Logic

Connect frontend features with real backend services.

Database & Authentication

Work with application data, relationships, permissions and migrations.

Git → PR → Review → Deploy

Learn the professional software delivery workflow.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Built for students who already build.

  • Currently studying in university
  • Preferably 2nd or 3rd year — not a hard requirement
  • Already understand programming fundamentals
  • Have built at least some personal, university, or client projects
  • Learn independently and enjoy solving engineering problems
  • Want professional production experience before graduation
  • Comfortable reading documentation
  • Can accept code-review feedback
  • Can communicate blockers instead of disappearing

Projects and engineering ability matter more than collecting certificates.

WHAT YOU MAY BUILD AROUND

Interns work around real, shipped products.

A selection of live Effy Tech products and client platforms — the kind of systems you'll be contributing features, fixes and reviews to.

ENGINEERING SKILL MATRIX

LEVEL A — CORE / MUST HAVE

JavaScript

  • ES6+
  • Functions
  • Arrays / objects
  • Destructuring
  • Modules
  • Promises
  • Async / await
  • Error handling

React

  • Components
  • Props
  • State
  • Event handling
  • Conditional rendering
  • Lists / keys
  • Forms
  • Hooks
  • Component composition

Web Fundamentals

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Flexbox
  • Grid
  • Responsive layouts
  • Basic browser behavior

Git / GitHub

  • Clone
  • Branch
  • Commit
  • Push
  • Pull
  • Basic merge workflow

API Fundamentals

  • HTTP
  • Request / response
  • GET / POST / PATCH / PUT / DELETE
  • JSON
  • Status codes

STRONG PRIORITY — NEXT.JS

Central to how we build.

Next.js is central to how we build. Basic real-world understanding is a strong requirement — mastery of every internals topic is not.

  • App Router
  • Pages, layouts, nested routes, dynamic routes
  • Navigation and <Link>
  • Route parameters & query/search parameters
  • Loading and error states
  • Server Components & Client Components
  • Data fetching
  • Forms
  • Route Handlers / API routes
  • Environment variables
  • Image handling
  • Metadata
  • Basic caching / revalidation concepts

REACT — STRONGER EXPECTATIONS

Beyond basic components, preferred candidates understand some of:

  • Reusable components
  • Controlled forms
  • Lifting state
  • Context
  • Reducer pattern
  • Custom hooks
  • Component composition
  • Data / state flow
  • Loading, error, and empty states
  • Rendering performance basics
  • Avoiding unnecessary state

FRONTEND ENGINEERING

  • Converting designs into responsive UI
  • Spacing consistency
  • Typography hierarchy
  • Component reuse
  • Responsive breakpoints
  • Forms & validation
  • Accessibility basics
  • Empty, loading, and error states
  • Mobile-first thinking
  • UI consistency

Preferred

  • Tailwind CSS
  • shadcn/ui
  • Modern component systems
  • Basic animation principles

BACKEND EXPECTATIONS

  • Node.js fundamentals
  • REST API architecture
  • Controllers / routes / services concepts
  • Request validation
  • Authentication concepts
  • Authorization concepts
  • Async operations
  • Error handling
  • Environment configuration
  • API response structure

Strong preference for NestJS familiarity — but it should not automatically disqualify someone who understands backend concepts and can learn quickly.

DATABASE REQUIREMENTS

  • Tables & rows
  • Primary keys & foreign keys
  • Relationships — one-to-many, many-to-many concept
  • CRUD
  • SQL basics
  • Schema design basics

Primary database direction: PostgreSQL.

SUPABASE EXPECTATIONS

Working knowledge, strongly preferred.

  • Tables & queries
  • Supabase client
  • Auth concepts & sessions
  • Storage basics
  • PostgreSQL relationship concepts
  • Row Level Security concept
  • Environment variables

Candidate should conceptually understand why production database schema changes should be migration-based rather than random dashboard edits — creating schema changes, migration files, testing locally/staging, applying migration, version-controlling schema changes, and rollback/repair awareness. Internship-level practical understanding is enough.

HOW WE BUILD

How we build at Effy Tech

01

Understand before coding

Read the requirement and existing system before changing it.

02

Build reusable systems

Avoid copy-paste solutions where a reusable component or abstraction makes sense.

03

Keep changes reviewable

Use clear branches, commits and focused pull requests.

04

Review before merge

Code is expected to survive review, not only “work on my machine.”

05

Own what you ship

A feature is not finished simply because the code was written.

FAQ

Common questions before you apply.

01Can a 2nd-year student apply?

Yes. Practical skill and ability to build matter more than academic seniority.

02Do I need professional job experience?

No. Strong personal, university, freelance or experimental projects are acceptable.

03Is Next.js mandatory?

Strong Next.js understanding is highly preferred because it is central to the development workflow. However, someone with strong React fundamentals and the ability to learn quickly may still be considered.

04Do I need NestJS experience?

Not necessarily. Backend fundamentals matter more. NestJS experience is a plus.

05Do I need to know Supabase?

Working knowledge is strongly preferred. PostgreSQL/database fundamentals are particularly important.

06Do I need a portfolio?

GitHub and working projects are more important than a polished portfolio website.

07Can I use AI coding tools?

Yes, but the candidate must understand, review and take responsibility for the code they submit.

08Is this only a learning program?

No. It is a real paid internship. Learning happens through real engineering work.

READY TO APPLY?

You don’t need years of experience.
You need proof that you can build.

If you are already building software while studying and want to understand how real products are developed, reviewed and shipped, this internship may be your next step.
